White Woman Loses Job After Racist Road Rage Incident: Video

A racist road rage incident that took place on a California Bay Area freeway was caught on cellphone video and has been viewed more than 160,000 times.

The video captures a portion of the incident showing a white woman cursing and then using the N-word, calling a Black couple riding alongside her “Fu**ing filthy, b**ch a** c*nt ni**ers.”

Marshaunte Farris, a passenger in the car, recorded the video and shared it on her Twitter account last week:

“Good morning family and friends this morning as I drove back to Oakland on 880 a Caucasian woman driving a Black Audi coupe plate number 7RBZ175 followed my boyfriend and I from Richmond to Emeryville harassing us calling us NI**ERS AND C*NTS, Twitter do yo thang.”

Farris’ boyfriend, Shamiek Sheppard, was driving the car at the time.

The woman on the racist rant, who has not been identified, was an employee at a major investment bank and financial services company with offices in the Bay Area.

KRON4 reports that a company representative confirmed that she has been terminated.

“The behavior reflected in the video is completely inconsistent with our values and the individual involved is no longer employed by the firm.”

Twitter users identified the woman as a financial analyst at Morgan Stanley, according to The Daily Mail.

Farris said that on the morning of the incident, she and Sheppard were driving back to Oakland when the woman “just started tripping.”

Sheppard told KRON4 that he was driving in the carpool lane at the start of the incident.

“I switched lanes,” he said. “Then I see her speed up in the rearview mirror. Then I see her swerve into the next lane and I wasn’t thinking nothing of it and then she came and cut me off kind of aggressively. She is slamming on her brakes. You know that can cause an accident or something.”

Sheppard said he tried to get away from her but she continued to cut him off. He and Farris said they made an official report with the California Highway Patrol.

Once videos go viral capturing racist acts, companies have been more prone to terminate an employee who orchestrated the incident.

For example, Stephanie Sebby-Strempel, who the Internet named Pool Patrol Paula, verbally attacked a group of Black teens at a swimming pool in South Carolina in June, even getting violent with one. After angry comments flooded Rodan + Fields’ Facebook page, Sebby-Strempel, a salesperson, was eventually fired.

She was also charged with one count of third-degree assault and battery and two counts of assaulting, beating or wounding a police officer while resisting arrest, according to court documents.
