Video: White Man Drags Unconscious Black Man Off Train Because He Didn't Want to Wait for Paramedics

A cellphone video taken by a passenger on a commuter train in Long Beach, Calif., shows a white man in a suit dragging an unconscious, partially naked Black passenger out of the train car and onto the platform because he didn’t want to wait for the paramedics to respond.

A man, only identified as by the name on his YouTube Channel, Billion Godsun, recorded the incident that occurred Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. Long Beach police officials are now working with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office to see if the incident was criminal, police spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria said on Friday, according to the
Long Beach Telegram.

“So this dude is passed out on the train and this motherf—ing white boy is doing the motherf—-ing most,”
Billion says in the video. “This motherf—er just yanked him off the f—ing train so he won’t have to stop and miss his f—ing ride.”

“First, he asked people to help him drag him from his seat off the train,” Billion told the
Long Beach Post.

When the other passengers objected, the man acted on his own.

“All of us on the train were like, ‘Get your hands off him,'” Billion said.

Even though the man in the suit intended for the train to keep going, passengers continued to open the door to keep it from leaving the station, Billion told
KTLA.

In the video, after the white man discarded a human being in distress, and his belongings, onto the platform, he then goes back inside the train and sits down.

“So, hopefully, we’ll see authorities called and they deal with this motherf—er the way they deal with everybody else,” Billion says.

“Dude just had a seizure but this white boy is going to drag him off the damn train so he don’t miss his ride.” He later told Billion, “There are a lot of people on the train who want to get home.”

He is then seen exiting the train and kneeling down to check the man’s pulse.

“Don’t try and act like you give a f— now, you the one who dragged him out here,” Billion says.

Following touching the man’s face and asking him if he is responsive, the man in the suit says the unconscious man needs paramedics and leaves the area.

Long Beach police and fire departments eventually responded to the scene.

According to
KCAL9, police have identified the white man in the video who did the dragging and the person who was dragged, now in the hospital, but would not give their names.
