For Wells Fargo Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer Kevin Moss, a new marriage has changed not only his personal life, but brought new perspective to his professional life.
“My wife is Filipino, and I’ve recently gone through a second marriage where I’ve had to integrate two very different families. We have six kids,” he told Fair360, formerly DiversityInc CEO Luke Visconti. “What I’ve learned through that experience is that two people can see the same situation and both be right.
“Just because of how we grew up—she’s from the West Coast, I grew up on the East Coast—and our own backgrounds and our ways of thinking about things can be very different in a very similar situation. And what that’s taught me is a much greater appreciation for how others might look at the same situations that I see differently.
