U.S. to Renew Relations With Cuba

In a historic announcement that ends more than 50 years of acrimony, President Obama announced on Wednesday that the United States is reestablishing diplomatic relations with Cuba.

“We will end an outdated approach that for decades has failed to advance our interests, and instead we will begin to normalize relations between our two countries,” the President said in a nationally televised statement.
