A video of the polarizing Fox News commentator Tomi Lahren being splashed with water by another patron and heckled at a Minneapolis restaurant last weekend for her racist on-air commentary has gone viral. President Donald Trump was quick to respond.
Meanwhile, it took Trump
22 days to call a Black man who saved the lives of Waffle House customers. Also, he did not immediately fire one of his aides for making a death joke about Sen. John McCain, a war hero fighting terminal brain cancer.
During a “Fox and Friends” segment on Wednesday,
Lahren talked about the harrowing incident at brunch where customers her same age threw water at her and chanted profanities.

Apparently for Trump, a young, white woman, who supports him on Fox News, being splashed with water at a restaurant is more heinous than people of color being killed at a restaurant.
James Shaw Jr., a father and college graduate, risked his life on April 22 to save customers at a Waffle House in Tennessee from domestic terrorist Travis Reinking. Reinking used an AR-15 rifle to murder four people of color before Shaw knocked him down, sending him fleeing.
Twenty-two days later, Trump gave Shaw a half-hearted phone call, which the White House only prompted as Trump was being slammed for his silence on the act of terrorism.

While he didn’t call Shaw, Trump found time to play four rounds of golf, thumb out 126 tweets, condemn mass killings in Paris and Toronto and travel to Indiana, Ohio, Texas and Michigan,” the NY Daily News reports.
Lahren’s ordeal is also more upsetting to Trump than White House aide Kelly Sadler mocking McCain, a man who served our country in many different ways and now is fighting for his life.
Earlier this month, Sadler reacted to McCain’s announcement that he opposes Gina Haspel’s nomination as CIA director.
“He’s dying anyway,” Sadler said, according to three sources with direct knowledge of the meeting, NBC News reports.
“I don’t understand what kind of environment you’re working in that that would be acceptable and then you can come to work the next day and still have a job,” said McCain’s daughter Meghan on ABC’s “The View.”
Trump’s favor for Fox pundit Lahren most likely also stems from her work with Great America Alliance, an advocacy organization that supports him, and her perpetuation of his disdain for NFL players who protest, for example.
In December, when Beyonc presented former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick with Sports Illustrated’s Muhammad Ali Legacy Award, Lahren tweeted a photo of the two with the message:
