Trump’s selected delegates for the Republican National Convention include racists, white supremacists and alleged sexual predators.
Los Angeles attorney William Johnson was among those selected but resigned last week. Johnson is the head of the white nationalist American Freedom Party. Classified by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) under its Extremist Files, the group was formerly known as the American Third Position. According to the group’s website, “It’s obvious that those currently in power do not trust or believe in the American people and wish to enslave them. The American Freedom Party wishes to represent the American People and return our country to greatness. Support the American Freedom Party and take our country back!”
The phrase “return our country to greatness” echoes Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America great again.”
