Tom Linebarger has been Cummins’ Chairman and CEO since 2012. He has held many leadership roles in his 20-plus years at the company including President and Chief Operating Officer; Executive Vice President and President, Power Generation Business; Vice President and Chief Financial Officer; and Vice President, Supply Chain Management.

Linebarger began his career as an investment manager for Prudential, serving stints in Singapore and Hong Kong. He joined Cummins in 1993, having enjoyed his experience as a college intern on the manufacturing line at the Cummins Midrange Engine plant in Walesboro, Ind.

A California native, Linebarger earned joint bachelor’s degrees from Claremont McKenna College (in economics) and Stanford University (in mechanical engineering). He later earned a master’s degree in manufacturing systems and an M.B.A. from Stanford.

Linebarger serves on the board of directors of Harley Davidson and the Energy Systems Network. He and his wife have two daughters.
