Working Mother recently named TIAA to its “2021 Best Companies for Multicultural Women” list, which recognizes employers that are leading the way in establishing policies, programs and a corporate culture that cultivate career and leadership opportunities for multicultural women. This is the first year TIAA has received this distinct recognition, which comes on the heels of being named to Working Mother’s “100 Best Companies for Working Mothers” list for the 10th consecutive year.

TIAA’s Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and other internal programs and workshops provide leadership development, networking opportunities, community outreach and philanthropic efforts, business solutions and product input, and multicultural awareness for its associates.

“At TIAA, we understand that the only way to successfully serve and support our clients is by first supporting our associates,” said Christina Cutlip, Senior Managing Director and Head of Client Engagement and National Advocacy at TIAA. “We’re proud of the progress we’ve made as an organization that fosters an inclusive workplace environment where diversity thrives and ensures we are providing for the needs of all of our associates, women of color in particular.”

TIAA participated in a rigorous, 250 question survey prepared by the Working Mother Research Institute consisting of questions on representation; hiring, attrition and promotion rates; recruitment, retention and advancement programs; and company culture.
