TIAA, a leading provider of financial services in the academic, research, medical, cultural and government field, has been recognized as one of 2022 World’s Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.

“At TIAA, transparency, accountability and integrity are values deeply embedded in our culture,” said Thasunda Brown Duckett, President and CEO of TIAA. “We know our clients want to work with a partner they trust, and we work hard to do right by them, our employees and our communities. We’re honored to be named a World’s Most Ethical Company by Ethisphere for the eighth straight year.”

This year, Ethisphere recognized 136 companies spanning 22 countries and 45 industries. TIAA was one of six financial services companies honored with the recognition and currently boasts eight consecutive appearances on the list.

“Today, business leaders face their greatest mandate yet to be ethical, accountable, and trusted to drive positive change,” said Ethisphere CEO, Timothy Erblich. “We continue to be inspired by the World’s Most Ethical Companies honorees and their dedication to integrity, sustainability, governance and community. Congratulations to TIAA for earning the World’s Most Ethical Companies designation.”

Grounded in Ethisphere’s proprietary Ethics Quotient, the World’s Most Ethical Companies assessment process includes more than 200 questions on culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity and initiatives to support a strong value chain. The process serves as an operating framework to capture and codify the leading practices of organizations across industries and around the globe.
