Texas Man Goes on Tirade Against Couple Protesting Confederate Monument: Video

A man was caught on camera in a profanity-filled rant against a couple protesting in front of a Confederate monument in Orange, Texas.

The Confederate Memorial of the Wind is a nearly completed memorial, where the Sons of Confederate Veterans group are planning to add 32 flags to represent Texas regiments of the Confederate army.

In the video, posted on YouTube on Sunday, an unidentified man approaches the couple.

“What gives you the right to protest in America” he screams.

A woman answers, “this is free speech” and, after she corrects his claim, that they need a permit to demonstrate.

Then he began his tirade.

“Y’all need to leave this place. It’s people like y’all that are destroying America’s history!” he shouted, despite the fact that the Confederacy was not part of the United States of America and was defeated by the U.S. military during the Civil War.

“You’re damn dumb-ass Democrats!”

A confused protestor asked, “Why are you so angry, sir”

“Because of stupid idiots like y’all,” he replied. “Look what y’all are doing to our country! You’re a bunch of damn idiots! You try to destroy our heritage, you’re tearing down monuments!”

He went on to call the protestors “f*cking idiots” who “don’t deserve to be in this g*ddamn country.”

“You don’t like it, take your ass home!” he said.

In the video, Tracie asked the unidentified man if he felt better after his rant.

“No I don’t,” he replied. “I’ll feel better if you g*oddamn Democrats would go to hell.”

As he exited in rage, the woman told him that Jesus loved him.

“Yeah, you’re damn right he does,” the man replied. “But he f*cking hates you!”
