From The Company

Diversity and inclusion are part of the fundamental values that help TD support our customers, colleagues and communities. From our hiring practices to our accessible building designs, we’re working toward maintaining a welcoming, barrier-free culture for everyone.

In 2019, we launched a new Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) strategy aligned with TD’s strategic narrative of having a proven business model and being a purpose-driven and forward-focused organization. This D&I strategy is multi-pronged, with multiple stakeholders and areas of focus.

In 2020, with the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 and social unrest, there has been at TD a heightened focus on not just diversity, but also advancing our culture of inclusion. Recognizing that Black communities have long faced systemic racism in society, we introduced a Black Experiences area of focus within our D&I program and set targets to increase the representation of Black and other minority professionals within TD.

Building a diverse and inclusive organization at TD includes key initiatives and programs like our Inclusive Leadership curriculum through TD Thrive; our learning platform; and our second annual global D&I Summit, “Better Together,” which brought 6,000 colleagues together to participate in a virtual conversation in order to share life experiences and provide insights to further strengthen inclusion at TD.
