Target has had a longstanding commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. We set goals every three years to hold ourselves accountable to the progress we want to make as an organization.

Based on our strategy and goals, we have continuously increased the representation and advancement of women and people of color. 

Promotions of women of color to senior leadership have more than doubled. Also, Target has increased sales by 45% in product categories like beauty, toys and food, which help make the company more relevant for all guests. 

Finally, we spent almost $1.5 billion with diverse suppliers in 2020 and recently made a commitment to spend $2 billion with Black-owned businesses by 2025.

These efforts are making a difference in our stores and communities, as we at Target continue to fulfill our purpose to help all families discover the joy of everyday life.
