Supreme Court Deadlocked Over Immigration, Leaving Millions in Jeopardy

The Supreme Court deadlocked on a decision regarding President Barack Obama’s immigration policy, leaving millions of undocumented immigrants in jeopardy.


The justices released a one-sentence ruling: “The judgment is affirmed by an equally divided Court.”

This leaves the program, which would have prevented millions of people from being deported, in jeopardy and prevents Obama from implementing the program for the rest of his presidency.
