Message from Karen S. Carter, Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Inclusion Officer

I want to take a moment to first thank all of Team Dow. Our team members who are reporting into worksites and those of us that are working from home to ensure our customer commitments are met and we contribute our products and technologies to the COVID-19 pandemic relief. Your commitment, dedication and resilience inspire me. If we have learned anything from this experience, it is that we are all interdependent and must continue to support each other.

The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve so we are in constant contact with our sites to understand our employees’ needs, engaging across industries to accelerate the implementation of best practices, and in some cases – working with governments to deliver local solutions. We have heard the needs of our teams, and we are responding. For example, we have instituted a global minimum paid leave for those who are experiencing COVID-19 flu like symptoms to enable them to recover. Likewise, we have instituted a global paid leave for those that are caring for loved ones that are dealing with illnesses related to COVID-19. And we are working to address the gap in dependent care.

This is an unprecedented time, and we know things are not easy. Because of this, we are not only focused on Team Dow’s physical safety, but also on psychological safety and well-being. We are elevating resources like our Employee Assistance Program, encouraging team members to connect with these trained professionals who can talk through unexpected issues and stresses that many of us are experiencing during this crisis.

We are working to help address what Team Dow needs now and anticipate what we will need in the future.

If you or your loved one is a member of #TeamDow, know that we are committed to protecting employees’ health and overall well-being. We are doing all we can to run our operations safely and support our employees as they work to meet the critical needs of our customers and communities. For more details, please visit our FAQ.
