A former South Carolina Republican Party chairman’s Twitter account has been suspended after he launched into a sexist attack against a Texas gubernatorial candidate.
Todd Kincannon used his personal account, @Todd_Kincannon, to send several vulgar messages about Wendy Davis, the candidate best known for her 11-hour filibuster that postponed a vote on abortion laws in the Lone Star State. The attack came after questions began to arise about discrepancies in Davis’ bio, including when she divorced her first husband, how long she was a single mother, how long she lived in a trailer park, and who raised her kids while she attended Harvard Law School.
