Reckless is worse than “Feckless” but still.
I have been shocked by the relative lack of mainstream media criticism of “my” Governor’s promise during the latest GOP debate to shoot down Russian planes. That this promise was made in defense of an imagined, unilaterally declared, “no fly zone,” in territory over which the US has neither air superiority (nor legal claim), and for which there is no articulated strategic rationale is reckless and deserving of roundhouse critiques.
However, buried in the ashes of rational discourse during that debate was a racial dog whistle that also received too little attention. As part of the expected theme of blaming the Democratic incumbent for all that is wrong in the world was Christie’s claim that Obama is “feckless and weak.” I don’t agree with calling my president “weak” but accept it as standard partisan fair but feckless
