PwC To Discuss Importance of Talking Openly About Race

PwC’s commitment to diversity has been essential to the firm’s success, according to US chairman and senior partner Bob Moritz, who next week will host a live webcast discussing the importance of speaking openly about race.


Moritz will be speaking with Mellody Hobson, whose TED Talk “Color Blind or Color Brave” has been viewed more than 1.3 million times and makes the case that speaking openly about race and particularly about diversity in hiring makes for better businesses and a better society.

“Race in America makes people completely uncomfortable,” Hobson says in her talk. “Bringing it up is like the conversational equivalent of touching the third rail.”
