PwC Digital Services Unveils New Method to Drive Business Transformation

PwC Digital Services (PwC is No. 5 on the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies list) unveiled its BXT method, designed to enhance client outcomes by leveraging the power of perspective.

Businesses today are facing increasingly complex challenges, stagnant productivity and flat growth and are struggling to reach customers, increase internal efficiencies and even outlast industry disruptors. With a common goal of moving as fast as a start-up while establishing the stability of a Fortune 500, the integration of technology has been an assumed answer to common corporate challenges. And yet, despite an increase in digital acquisitions and the purchase of new technology, almost 70 percent of business transformations fail. Something is still not working.

PwC Digital Services recognized that it was time for a change. Leveraging the firm’s greatest assets – the breadth and depth of its service offerings and its experts – and harnessing the power of diverse perspectives present across the networks, PwC has established a brand new method for delivering success that endures.

“Every industry is changing, and we are getting ahead of our own,” said Tom Puthiyamadam, PwC’s Global Digital Services Leader. “We’ve experienced our own pressure and the shifting expectations on and of our clients, and we realized that in order for us to meet emerging demands, we needed to change how and through what lenses we innovate. We stopped seeing titles, disciplines and departments and started seeing people with diverse skills and experience.”

The BXT method was created with the realization that this is an interconnected world and that no problem can be addressed with a unilateral solution. There is no digital without data. No technology without cybersecurity. No solution without strategy. No engagement without experience. The world is asking for solutions that can only be created at the intersection of Business, Experience and Technology.

“It is a different kind of innovation. The BXT method allows me to co-create alongside top talent,” said David Clarke, PwC’s Global Chief Experience Officer. “Once you are in a team with such diverse talent, it’s hard to imagine operating any other way. Our clients don’t want to go back.”

The first step to the BXT method takes place at PwC’s Digital Accelerator, the Sandbox. The accelerator creates a white space for brainstorming innovative solutions, engaging with technology, and testing the solution of the future. PwC has applied the BXT method with clients such as Sam’s Club, Lenovo, and even charitable organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“Every digital transformation has both cyber implications and opportunities,” said David Burg, PwC’s Global Cybersecurity and Privacy Leader. “The BXT method looks at data, technology, process and even people factors at the onset to engineer solutions that prevent threats rather than reacting to them.”BXT is PwC Digital Service’s method for making tomorrow.
