PowerSecure, a leading provider of energy infrastructure services and a subsidiary of Southern Company (No. 44 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list), announced on Sept. 21 that it has entered into a five-year contract with Oncor. Oncor’s industry-leading transmission and distribution system calls for major upgrades over the next several years to support its customers, and PowerSecure is to resource Oncor in the execution of these plans.
Oncor has more than 122,000 miles of transmission and distribution lines inTexas, and PowerSecure will provide hundreds of lineman and equipment to support its electrical system across the State. The deal supports Oncor’s commitment to provide their 3.4 million customers with a safer, smarter, and more reliable electric grid.
