Accenture is a billion-dollar management-consulting firm with 259,000 employees in 120 countries. CEO Pierre Nanterme sees the company’s global reach as a major asset.

Nanterme ties executive compensation to diversity metrics, meets regularly with the company’s resource groups and sponsors Accenture’s Corporate Citizenship Agenda. Over three decades with the company, he has held numerous leadership positions, including Managing Director—Financial Services for Europe, Africa and Latin America; Global Managing Director—Insurance; Country Managing Director for France; and Chief Leadership Officer. Prior to becoming CEO, he was Group Chief Executive—Financial Services. He joined Accenture in 1983 and became a partner in 1993.

He’s a member of the executive board of the World Economic Forum’s Green Growth Action Alliance and the steering board of the European Commission’s European Cloud Partnership. He is the president of the MEDEF Commission for Economic Affairs and Public Finance in France and a member of MEDEF’s executive board. He graduated from ESSEC Business School in Paris and was named a Chevalier (Knight) in the Legion of Honour in France in 2010.
