Nielsen's 'On The Record With Cheryl Grace'

Nielsen (No. 41 on the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies list) recently released Young, Connected and Black: African American Millennials Are Driving Social Change and Leading Digital Advancement, the sixth report in Nielsen’s Diverse Intelligence Series focusing on the African-American consumer.

Following the report’s release, Andrew McCaskill, Nielsen’s senior vice president of Communications and Multicultural Marketing, sat down with Cheryl Grace (ne Pearson-McNeil), one of the report’s authors to discuss highlights of Young, Connected and Black.

This latest report highlights African Americans’ economic and cultural gains and shines a spotlight on how African American Millennials are forging ahead in their use of technology and social media to raise awareness and evoke a national discussion on civic and political issues. Grace offers additional context around Black Millennials’ cultural influence and the value of that influence to businesses and brands.
