NYC Pride Gets Political

New York City’s annual Pride March was initially established as a civil rights demonstration to raise awareness and to remember those lost to illness and violence. Although the parade now has been embraced by pop-culture and known for its yearly floats, costumes some on the more risqu side and rainbow flags, this year’s celebration stayed close to its roots by demonstrating protests against Trump and police brutality, while still keeping environment fun.
