Ex-Trump Adviser Offers to Testify in Russia Probe in Exchange for Immunity

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynnhas offered to testify before Congress regarding the United States’ investigation into Russia’s involvement with President Donald Trump’s campaign in exchange for immunity from prosecution.


“General Flynn certainly has a story to tell, and he very much wants to tell it, should the circumstances permit,” Robert Kelner, Flynn’s attorney, tweeted in a statement. He called the media “awash with unfounded allegations, outrageous claims of treason, and vicious innuendo directed against [Flynn].”

“No reasonable person, who has the benefit of advice from counsel, would submit to questioning in such a highly politicized, witch-hunt environment without assurances against unfair prosecution,” he added.
