It seems fitting to open with a lethargic, “Sigh” as this week’s duel between rappers Drake and Pusha-T continues to play out in a gut-wrenching, “Hate & Hip Hop” kind of fashion.
In the latest series of clapbacks, double-checks and subtweets, Pusha-T is alleging that Drake has offered some hefty change in order to get the dirt on him.
The rapper, who just released his
well-received album “Daytona,” tweeted Thursday, “You got 100k floating around for info Can’t no amount of money create skeletons that don’t exist. #ImUpset.”

If true, I guess Drake is a believer of the old saying: money talks.
If you haven’t been caught up to speed on everything that took place together here are some CliffsNotes:
Pusha-T dropped a diss track called “Infrared” accusing Drake of using a ghostwriter.
Drake immediately clapped back with his “Duppy Freestyle” setting the record straight that he writes for himself as well as for others including Kanye West, who helped produce Pusha’s album.

Then things got real and took a turn when Pusha released ”
The Story of Adidon” alleging that Drake has a son that he’s been keeping a secret from the media.

And to add injury to insult, Pusha-T’s cover art for his “The Story of Adidon” single showed a pre-Drake, Aubrey Graham sporting blackface in a photo that his since gone viral.

Drake took to Instagram on Wednesday to set the record straight over claims made by his lyrical nemesis that his Blackness is fraudulent.
“I know everyone is enjoying the circus, but I wanted to clarify this image in question,” Drake wrote, who before blowing up as a musical icon was a series regular on the hit show
“Degrassi: The Next Generation” from 2001-2009.
“This picture is from 2007, a time in my life where I was an actor and I was working on a project that was about young black actors struggling to get roles, being stereotyped and type cast. The photos represented how African Americans were once wrongfully portrayed in entertainment.”
However, Pusha-T wasn’t buying it.
According to
Pitchfork, the rapper said, “That doesn’t change my view at all.”
Speaking with Real 92.3 on Thursday morning, Pusha said, “You are silent on all Black issues, Drake. You don’t stand for nothing, you don’t say nothing about nothing. You have all the platform in the world.”
Even the National Multiple Sclerosis Society got involved and shared their disappointed sentiments because of Pusha’s lyrical jab against Drake’s producer, Noah Shebib, who has the autoimmune disease.
Not to mention the fact that World MS Day was on
Wednesday.
