R. Kelly is facing a new scandal following reports of another alleged sex tape involving an underage girl.
The Chicago-native singer has been embroiled in scandal for decades regarding his alleged penchant for underaged girls. None of the accusations have ever been proven in a court of law.
Over recent weeks, Kelly has been in the headlines after the Lifetime Movie Network documentary series “Surviving R. Kelly,” which detailed decades of physical, sexual, and mental abuse allegations by various Black women and girls. A new videotape that allegedly shows R. Kelly having sex with a 14-year-old girl may soon lead to an indictment, in Illinois, of the R&B singer, according to reports.

Attorney Michael Avenatti tweeted on Thursday that he had given a videotape of “Kelly engaging in multiple sexual assaults of an underage girl” to the Cook County state’s attorney. He didn’t indicate the date the alleged tape was recorded but clarified, that the events caught on camera were filmed “within the Illinois statute of limitations.”
Avenatti also said that he represents “multiple clients in connection with allegations of sexual assault of minors” by Kelly.
He had previously tweeted that he had worked on Kelly related matters since April.
“The results of that work will soon be known,” he said. “We are going to blow this wide open for the sake of each of his victims and one less pedophile will be free. Count on it.”
Avenatti flat-out stated: “My client knows the identity of the girl and R. Kelly. He identified the two of them on the videotape. He worked for and has known R. Kelly for decades and he met the girl on a number of occasions.”
Kelly, who is 52 years old, has always denied the claims of having sexual relations with underage girls.
In contrast, Kelly’s attorney has stated that he is unaware of any new video with his client and has not been contacted by anyone regarding the tape.
“We are unaware of any new information involving Mr. Kelly,” he tells CNN. “We have not been contacted by anyone. We have not been informed about any new information by anyone and we have not been contacted by law enforcement.”
Cook County prosecutor’s chief communications officer, Tandra R. Simonton, refused to comment about the claim.
R. Kelly has been tied to Aaliyah Haughton, where it’s alleged that he married the now-deceased singer when she was 15 years old. In 2008, he was found not guilty of 14 counts of child pornography following the 2002 release of a sex tape showing the singer, allegedly, urinating on a 14-year-old girl. More recently, there have been accusations of Kelly keeping young women in sex cults in the Chicago and Atlanta areas.
