HONOLULU — Kaiser Permanente Moanalua Medical Center is recognized as “high performing” in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD, and congestive heart failure by U.S. News & World Report. High performers are based on evaluation of the more than 4,500 medical centers and designate the top 10th percentile of hospitals nationwide.

“We’re honored and proud to be recognized as one of the nation’s best for COPD and heart failure care,” said Sam Balukoff, Moanalua Medical Center administrator. “Our amazing team of physicians, nurses, and support staff are dedicated to providing high-quality care and creating a positive and supportive patient experience for our members and their families.”

In its hospital analysis, U.S. News & World Report uses publicly available data such as volume, mortality rates, infection rates, staffing levels, and patient satisfaction rates, among others. For more information and complete rankings, visit U.S. News & World Report.
