Video: Maxine Waters Says It's Crucial for Black Communities to Vote in Midterm Elections

The National Newspaper Publishers Association honored Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) with a National Leadership Award during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 48th Annual Legislative Conference in Washington, D.C., on Friday night.

Waters urged the association of more than 200 Black-owned community newspapers from around the U.S. to encourage Black people to get out and vote in the midterm elections.
