Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio was booed off stage at a festival in Florida made up of mostly Latinos. Several people in the crowd attributed their negative feelings toward the senator to his endorsement of Trump.
Despite Rubio’s own Cuban heritage, the crowd wasted no time in booing the senator as soon as he was being introduced.
“I’m going to introduce a man who represents Latinos, no matter where you’re from,” said an emcee, in Spanish, at Calle Orange, a festival geared toward Orlando’s large Puerto Rican population. Apparently, the crowd disagreed, as they responded with continued booing.
