KPMG's 26th Annual Accounting & Financial Reporting Symposium to Address Revenue Recognition, FASB Developments

PRESS RELEASE

KPMG (No. 16 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list), the audit, tax and advisory firm, announced that its 26th Annual Accounting and Financial Reporting Symposium will deliver critical insights for corporate financial executives on financial reporting and management issues impacting the marketplace. The popular CPE-eligible program focuses on immediate and emerging issues that financial executives need to know, and will occur this year on Dec. 1-2 at The Bellagio in Las Vegas.

“The Symposium attracts financial executives from across the country and provides them with key insights, thought leadership, and up-to-date information on critical issues affecting year-end reporting,” said John Ebner, National Managing Partner Audit. “Executives are provided with a better understanding of important technical, regulatory and compliance topics and have the opportunity to discuss practical issues with speakers and peers.”

Breakout sessions this year will include a focus on cyber security, data and analytics, lease accounting, income tax accounting, revenue recognition, financial instruments, accounting change and internal controls.

At the Symposium, influential speakers from industry and the accounting profession will provide insights on critical issues and developments including recent guidance from the FASB and SEC, global accounting issues and concerns around year-end reporting activities.

Tricia Maslov, Executive Director, KPMG Executive Education, which organizes and delivers the Symposium, said, “The value in the program is evident in that many of our attendees return year after year.”
