Kellogg Company Elects Carter Cast to Board of Directors

Kellogg Company (No. 28 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies list) has announced the election of Carter Cast to its board of directors, effective June 15, 2017.

Critical to Kellogg as it continues to grow its presence in e-commerce, Cast brings vast experience in the digital arena, previously helping to build and then lead Walmart.com, as its CEO. Cast also was the CEO of online retail company Hayneedle, Inc., led the launch of the Blue Nile brand, the leading online jewelry retailer, and previously served as the chief marketing officer at eBay. Cast has also served as Vice President of product marketing and marketing communications at Electronic Arts.

Cast has significant leadership experience as well at other Fortune 500 companies, including PepsiCo where he was a marketing executive, and Frito-Lay where he managed its $1.5 billion tortilla chip category.

Cast currently is on faculty at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where he is a clinical professor teaching entrepreneurship, innovation and marketing. In addition, he is a venture partner at Pritzker Group Venture Capital which invested in Dollar Shave Club, The Honest Company and SMS Assist.

Cast serves on the board of directors of the Family Action Network and SMS Assist, Inc.
