Improved 2015 DiversityInc Top 50 Survey Now Open

The 2015 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity survey is now open, and it’s easier to navigate with several improved features.

After a record number of companies participated in the 2014 survey, we are using a new platform with several, technological improvements. These include:

  • an improved Table of Contents, which allows for easy movement throughout the survey;
  • automatic conversion of raw numbers into percentages, when required;
  • easy uploading of supplemental materials and the ability to download your submission as a PDF to share internally;
  • the appearance on-screen of 2014 data for any company that filled out the survey last year, for easy reference.

An increased emphasis will be placed on the development of Tier II (subcontractor) supplier diversity in this year’s rankings because of its relevance to building community wealth. Supplier Diversity accounts for 25 percent of the points on the survey—the same weight as each of the three other measured categories: Talent Pipeline, Equitable Talent Development and CEO/Leadership Commitment.

There is no fee to participate in the DiversityInc Top 50 survey, which is open to any company with more than 1,000 U.S. employees. All participating companies receive a free report card, which gives an overview of how you measure in the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) used for the rankings.

The survey data will be used to determine the 2015 DiversityInc Top 50 list as well as the 12 specialty lists (Top 10 for Recruitment & Retention, Supplier Diversity, Employee Resource Groups, Mentoring, Diversity Councils, LGBT Employees, People With Disabilities, Veterans, Regional Companies and Hospitals/Healthcare Systems, as well as Top 7 Utilities and 25 Noteworthy Companies.) Companies having business relationships with DiversityInc do not receive preferential treatment.

The 2015 lists will all be revealed at the annual Top 50 Announcement Dinner on April 23, 2015. For the second consecutive year, DiversityInc is partnering with CNBC for exclusive coverage of this event.
