As part of Humana’s continued commitment to diversity, inclusion, and equity, Humana Inc. refreshed its Executive Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) Council membership.
Initially established in 2014, the Council works diligently to ensure that Humana is a company where everyone has the opportunity to grow and succeed. Inclusion, culture, diversity and equity are critical enablers to growing Humana’s business and maintaining the company’s reputation as a workplace and community partner of choice. The top priorities for the refreshed Council are to: 1) Lead and inform the strategy to drive the hiring, developing, promotion and retaining of the company’s full diverse workforce; 2) Create and maintain an inclusive culture; 3) Review Humana’s supply base and spend for diversification opportunities, and 4) Improve transparency and accountability to sustain outcomes.
The refreshed Executive Inclusion & Diversity Council reflects the diversity of employees and the communities Humana serves. The number of Council seats was expanded from nine to 14, and the new model instills a steady rotation of service terms to ensure the inclusion and empowerment of employees’ voices by increasing diverse points of views and representation from all levels or the organization. Council members represent a wide array of leadership roles including Humana’s Network Resource Groups, Culture & Engagement leaders and Business-Aligned I&D Councils.
