Gun Shop Billboard Promoting Hate Toward 4 Congresswomen “the Squad” is History

The “Squad” continued to face hateful rhetoric this week as the 4 Congresswomen were the subject of a gun shop billboard. The billboard was an advertisement for Cherokee Guns. It had the pictures of the four Reps. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, recently targeted by Trump’s racist tweets.

The sign referenced the 4 Horseman, but had a slogan that said, “The 4 Horsemen Cometh”, with the word “cometh” is crossed out below it written, “are Idiots.”

Doc Wacholz, the owner of Cherokee Guns told CNN he endorsed the ad because of , “their message of turning this country into a socialist country.”

“I don’t care if it was four white women or four white guys that had their view — they’d be on the billboard,” Wacholz said.

The advertisement firm who was paid to create this gun shop billboard has already taken it down due to the backlash from those opposed to its racist message.

It has been an eventful month for the 4 young leaders. Speaking out on Trump’s immigration policies has thrown them into the spotlight.

They came out together as a united front when President Trump first tweeted that the “Progressive Democrat Congresswomen” should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”

Three of the Congresswomen are natural born U.S. citizens, while Omar became a naturalized citizen from Somalia in 2000.

Rahida Tlaib was disgusted by the gun shop billboard tweeting, “How the hell is this not inciting violence?”

It is apparent that the rise of Trump has given a safe haven to extreme right-wing racism and made them feel it is acceptable to promote hate toward minorities.
