Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Mocks Nipsey Hussle

Fox News host Laura Ingraham commented in 2018 that NBA star LeBron James should “shut up and dribble” and stay out of politics because he criticized Donald Trump. Ingraham is now focusing her insults on slain rapper Nipsey Hussle because he made a guest appearance in a song that opposes Trump.

The conservative commentator brought up Nipsey during a broadcast of “The Ingraham Angle” on Friday, a day after his memorial service. Ingraham made a reference to rapper YG’s 2016 song “FDT,” on which Nipsey was a featured guest. He did not create the song that was released three years ago.

“This dear artist recently released a song called ‘FDT,’ F Donald Trump,” said Ingraham before playing a video clip that showed YG, not Nipsey.

Ingraham then chuckled while discussing the lyrics.

“That’s a very catchy refrain,” she said to the other on-air personality, Raymond Arroyo, who also laughed and responded: “Very catchy.”

“So…the chorus it goes on and on… Is that related to the lowest unemployment ever basically for African Americans?” asked Ingraham.

Trump touts that the unemployment rate for African-Americans decreased after he took office.

Actually, that’s not the case.

According to the Economic Policy Institute, “The Black unemployment rate had been steadily falling since 2011, well before Trump was sworn into office, and the rate of decline has not gained momentum since.”

Celebrities are calling for Ingraham to be fired.

R&B singer Tank expressed it in a post on Instagram.

He wrote, “Disrespecting the deceased is not news! It’s just disrespect! If this is not what @foxnews is all about we shall see!”

Snoop Dogg and T.I. are calling for her firing as well. T.I. said on Instagram, in reference to Ingraham and Arroyo’s comments, “This is Disgusting! You both are vile despicable, poor excuses for people.”

Nipsey, 33, whose real name was Ermias Ashgedom, was killed outside his clothing store in South Los Angeles on March 31. The Grammy-nominated rapper was entrepreneur and activist who turned his life around. He believed in uplifting his community, including investing in STEM education programs.

“Our hearts are with the loved ones of Nipsey Hussle and everyone touched by this awful tragedy,” Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti tweeted at the time of Nipsey’s death.

“While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets, and despair, Nipsey saw potential,” former President Barack Obama wrote in a letter read at his funeral.
