A video of comedian DJ Pryor having a conversation with his toddler about the season finale of the TV show “Empire” went viral. And now that endearing exchange has landed the duo a national commercial.
On June 4, Pryor’s wife, Shanieke, posted a video on Facebook that shows toddler Kingston having an animated talk with his dad. It has since garnered more than 50 million views.
“Only this child! Having a full-fledged conversation with Daddy, and Daddy is just as bad,” Shanieke Pryor wrote in the post.

The video caught the attention of Denny’s, which has a checkered history in regard to serving Black customers over the years.
The company is now featuring the two in an advertisement. DJ Pryor and Kingston share a meal while having another father-son chat. Denny’s posted the ad on Twitter.
“I think it’s perfect we came here to have a movie chat, just amongst father and son. Right?” DJ Pryor says to Kingston.
He responds with baby babble and hand gestures.
“What’s going on in your life?” DJ Pryor asks.
The two have a lively talk, as DJ Pryor gives answers based on what he thinks the toddler is saying. The father and son then share a strip of bacon and hugs.
