Daphanie Pointer is the Supplier Diversity Manager for the North America Procurement Team in the Supply Chain organization at Monsanto.
A strong and passionate advocate for diverse suppliers and their development, Daphanie has responsibility for development and execution of Monsanto's Supplier Diversity strategy. She focuses on identifying and increasing opportunities for Minority, Women, Persons with Disabilities, Veteran/Disabled Veteran, and LGBT owned businesses with Monsanto.
Her most recent accomplishment has been creating and implementing a mentoring program, Monsanto Supplier Development Mentoring Program, for diverse suppliers. This unique program assists suppliers in growing their businesses by utilizing industry and Monsanto best practices.
Daphanie has been with Monsanto for 14 years. Prior to her current role, she held roles within the Procurement area including Operations Lead responsible for procurement's processes, procedures, systems and training; as well as Information Technology, Facilities, and Marketing.
She serves on the Board of Directors for the Saint Louis Contractor Loan Fund and several supplier diversity committees, including St. Louis Minority Business Council, Women Business Enterprise National Council, the National Minority Supplier Development Council, and National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
In 2015, Daphanie was recognized by DiversityPlus as Top 30 Champions of Diversity and DELUX Magazine Power100. The St. Louis Minority Business Council named her the 2014 Buyer/Coordinator of The Year. She has also received the YWCA Leaders in the Workplace Award from Monsanto for significant leadership and contributions to Monsanto's business and the St. Louis community.
She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Fontbonne University. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Daphanie lives in Saint Louis, Missouri with her husband, Kevin, and their children, Kailee and Kevin, Jr.
