BEST PRACTICES

Providing learning and networking opportunities is a major emphasis for Deloitte, including exposure to leaders, sponsors, coaches, and challenging assignment. It’s all about career acceleration.

“We view talent development as being about much more than giving our people the technical skills they need to do their immediate jobs. It is also about providing guidance on the intangibles like networking, teamwork and the many other things that go not just into building a successful career, but into becoming a leader,” the company maintained.

Employee resource groups, which Deloitte refers to as business resource groups, or BRGs, help the company sustain its inclusive environment by building strong networks, bolstering career development and driving marketplace recognition. The BRGs focus on four primary areas, including retention and professional development, talent acquisition, professional relationships among clients and business leaders and community involvement supporting marketplace initiatives.
