D.C. High Schools Students Get an In-depth Tour of Marriott International HQ

Marriott International’s (No. 9 on the Fair360, formerly DiversityInc Top 50 Companies list) Ray Bennett, Chief Global Officer of Global Operations, and Dick Marriott, Chairman of the Board of Host Hotels, recently hosted approximately 80 students from local schools, including Woodrow Wilson High School, Columbia Heights Education Campus, Ballou High School, and Maya Angelou Public Charter School at the company’s headquarters.


As part of the tour, the students were able to see the Innovation Lab an underground laboratory that designs and tests the latest features in hospitality the test kitchen where chefs experiment with new recipes and sample guest rooms for different hotel brands. In addition, several company leaders spoke to the students about their professional background and current role at Marriott. This was a great opportunity to connect with young people in our community and share insights about the hospitality and careers in the industry.
