From The Company

CVS Health is a health care innovation company that is helping people on their path to better health. Our strategic diversity management model is connected to every aspect of the business and focuses on workforce representation, inclusion and belonging, talent systems and a diverse marketplace.

CVS Health’s commitment to diversity management starts with CEO Larry Merlo and the Diversity Management Leadership Council (DMLC), a group of cross-functional senior leaders who are accountable for implementing diversity management in their respective parts of the business, serving as peer coaches and internal and external champions.

The company has more than a dozen Colleague Resource Groups (CRGs), with 23,000 members operating more than 40 chapters across the organization that provide employees the opportunity to help attract talent, facilitate an inclusive workplace culture, develop and retain talent and exceed the needs of those we serve in the marketplace and communities.

CVS Health is committed to having a workforce that’s diverse. The company focuses on attracting and equipping diverse talent for careers with CVS Health, ensuring that youth, mature workers, veterans, and individuals with disabilities have a place within the company. This team also partners with state and federal agencies to provide employment services and training to underserved and often overlooked communities.

As CVS Health continues to make health care more accessible, the company partnered with the National Hispanic Health Foundation to help found the National Hispanic Pharmacist Association, which aims to increase the number of Hispanic pharmacists through scholarships and grants. It will educate current pharmacists on language, culture, and health disparities. Additionally, a Spanish immersion internship program requires students to work in a CVS Pharmacy in a Spanish-speaking community and attend Spanish language courses that include medical terminology.

The company’s Supplier Diversity Program drove a total economic impact of $5.6 billion in 2019, and engagements with Tier 1 and Tier 2 diverse suppliers supported more than 35,000 jobs across the country.

The company works hard to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace, accepting of all employees who bring unique perspectives.
