Every state, city and town across America is confronting three community health challenges simultaneously: the rising costs of health care, limited access to primary care and the prevalence of chronic disease. These challenges impose billions of dollars in avoidable costs each year on the budgets of families, employers, and governments alike.

During an address to The Economic Club of New York, CVS Health President and CEO Larry Merlo laid out a combination of public and private solutions to address these challenges in a way that lowers costs, gives Americans more choices, and improves the health of our communities.
