The wife of a police officer faked a robbery and vandalism at her home and blamed the fabricated crime on Black Lives Matter. She also took to social media to question the “hatred for no reason,” escalating the incident from a simple money scam to a racially motivated incident.
On October 17, Maria Daly, who has since confessed to staging the whole incident, reported that about $10,000 worth of jewelry and other items were stolen from her Massachusetts home. Millbury Police Chief Donald Desorey has since reported to the Boston Globe that Daly was motived by “financial difficulties.” However, Daly took it one step further when she tagged her house with graffiti that said “BLM.”
To make matters worse, Daly took to social media to express her supposed upset by the incident and sparked a conversation on Black Lives Matter.
