For Raytheon Technologies, advancing Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) is both a business and a social imperative. We are committed to meaningful and measurable DE&I efforts across our global workforce as the only way to build a world beyond the one we know today.

Our DE&I Pillars for Action focus on public policy advocacy, workforce diversity, community engagement and supplier diversity, to help advance underrepresented groups through accountable actions and to build a stronger business through diverse perspectives.

Similar to other critical business objectives, we are setting both short- and long-term goals to measure our progress and refine our strategies to advance Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This includes a 50/50 gender parity goal for leadership positions by 2030.

To drive accountability, we have incorporated DE&I objectives into our annual executive incentive program. With our scale and resources, we have the ability — and responsibility — to make an enduring impact on generations.

Recent accomplishments in 2021 include:

  • Raytheon Technologies announced its $500 million Social Impact Initiative.
  • SMASH and Raytheon Technologies announced their partnership to help students in underrepresented communities overcome barriers in pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers.
  • Prioritizing diversity, equity and inclusion. We have committed to greater spending with diverse suppliers, and to advocating for equity, social justice reform and economic policy.
  • Attracting, developing and retaining world-class talent. By 2030, we aim to have gender parity and greater representation of people of color in our executive ranks.
