On Aug. 19, the Cigna Foundation announced that it will start accepting the second round of applications for its Health and Well-Being grant program. Launched earlier this year, the program is part of the Cigna Foundation’s ongoing focus to improve access to care and eliminate health disparities.

“We want to do our part to help eliminate health inequities, and that means getting to the root causes of social determinants of health,” said Susan Stith, executive director, Cigna Foundation. “By supporting nonprofit programming that addresses health factors such as chronic disease, behavioral health conditions, dental, and maternal health, we can work together to improve the health and well-being of communities across the United States.”

2021 Grant Cycle

Nonprofits are invited to apply for grants beginning Aug. 30. This grant cycle will close on Sept. 24. Grants will be awarded in December 2021.

Qualified nonprofits must specifically address health and well-being with programs that focus on chronic disease treatment and prevention, behavioral health conditions, dental health, wellness programs, and maternal, prenatal, and newborn health.
