Another CBS Big Wig is Out '60 Minutes' Executive Producer Jeff Fager Has Been Fired

Jeff Fager, the executive producer of the long-running award-winning news show “60 Minutes” was fired Wednesday.

In what appears to be a never-ending saga of sexual harassment and rape allegations against the big wigs of CBS, Fager was reportedly terminated because of a menacing text message he sent to CBS reporter, Jericka Duncan.

The New Yorker reported that he had groped women and perpetuated “boy’s club” mentality at the show. Fager vehemently, denied the claims.

Duncan said Thursday on “CBS This Morning” that “this was someone who held an enormous amount of power here and I was shocked” to get the message.

Fager said in a text message: “If you repeat these false accusations without any of your own reporting to back them up you will be held responsible for harming me. Be careful. There are people who lost their jobs trying to harm me and if you pass on these damaging claims without your own reporting to back them up that will become a serious problem.”

The broadcasting “Rat Pack,” which consisted of Leslie Moonves, Charlie Rose and Jeff Fager were the big players at the network. Although CBS didn’t fire Fager for sexual harassment, he was fired for attempting to use his position of power against a Black female reporter who was, undoubtedly, trying to get to the bottom of the story.

The board was complicit in the “Big Boy’s Club” culture at the network and now the broadcasting giant is in hot water.
