Blac Chyna and Harvard at Odds Over ‘Acceptance,’ But Pay to Play is the Bigger Issue

Blac Chyna, aka Angela White, disclosed on Thursday that she had been accepted into Harvard University’s online business school. The former television personality and mother of Rob Kardashian’s daughter is allegedly enrolled in an online course called Business Analytics at the university’s Business School.

She shared her “acceptance letter” with the public in an attempt to change her public image, which has been marred by scandal and a series of bad decisions. Harvard University’s business school, for all intents and purposes, is world-renowned and former alumni include celebrities like supermodel Tyra Banks, rapper and actor LL Cool J and mega-producer Swizz Beatz.

The course has a reputation for having a rigorous curriculum where students learn how to interpret data to improve decision making, recognize and predict trends and learn how to be more analytical when conducting business. The Harvard class is reportedly only 40 hours and will start May 29 and end July 24. The tuition cost approximately $1,500. Although the course is self-paced, enrollees are required to meet regular deadlines. Blac Chyna would receive a certificate once the work is finished.

There’s a catch though. Harvard University has denied that Blac Chyna was ever accepted into the school.

“Harvard Business School Online has not admitted nor provided an acceptance letter to a person named Angela White.”

It appears that Blac Chyna was approached to work with a “PR firm” that offered to do all of her work and even take a pic of her wearing a Harvard hoodie for a price. In other words, more pay to play.

In light of the college scandal that has rocked Hollywood, one would think that “PR firms” and the like would refrain from offering their assistance to help celebs or their children cheat their way through school. But not Christian Emiliano, who refers to himself as Social Media Renaissance Man.

Emiliano, boldly, sent Blac Chyna’s team an email detailing what his organization could do for her.

“Our team will complete all the course work for you, all you have to do is take one test (we will provide you the study guide) and then take credit for the program. You can go on the Harvard campus and take a picture with a Harvard hoodie on / you can post updates on your Snapchat and Instagram Story.”

All for the “affordable” cost of $3,250.

Blac Chyna declined Emiliano’s offer and he confirmed it.

What’s appalling is the threat of prison and penalties haven’t deterred companies like this from helping people with money cheat the system. Although money does provide access to more opportunities, celebrities or any other affluent person shouldn’t lie or manipulate the system to get what they want.
