In 2019, AIG issued its first Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) report to provide greater transparency into its sustainability strategy and to align reporting activities with industry standards. The report summarizes how the company incorporates climate-related risks and opportunities into governance, strategy and risk management approaches, as well as the metrics and targets used to track performance.
AIG’s newly appointed Chief Sustainability Officer, Jennifer Waldner, will continue to evolve the company’s strategy and enhance its reporting approach.
