To commemorate Black History Month in the United States, AIG’s Black Professionals & Allies Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) hosted a series of global events in February honoring the important contributions of African-Americans. AIG has eight Black Professionals & Allies ERG chapters in Brazil, California, Charlotte, Georgia, Houston, Kansas City/Olathe, Nashville and New York.

Events included a visit to the African American art exhibit at the High Museum in Atlanta, soul food cook-offs, trivia/history tours and team-building volunteer opportunities. Several speaker series was also hosted by the ERG’s, including panels attended by Charlotte City Councilman Braxton Winston, Thomas Hicks, a Commissioner on the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, and Danielle Porcaro, Director of Strategic Partnerships, NYC Census 2020.
