ADP once again moves up on the DiversityInc Top 50 list, jumping ahead four spots this year. It has been a mainstay on the Top 50 list since 2010.
The company made great strides in supplier diversity in 2016. ADP reported an unprecedented 36 percent year over year increase in diverse supplier spend for the year — the largest growth period for ADP since it established its Supplier Diversity program.
In addition to 2016 being a personal best for ADP internally the company also spent 16.1 percent more of total procurement with tier-1 women-owned suppliers than the rest of the DiversityInc Top 50.
The company has a bright outlook for its future in supplier diversity. According to Rita Mitjans, ADP's chief diversity and corporate social responsibility officer, the company's commitment to diversity "goes beyond creating a culture of inclusion" internally; this dedication extends to its suppliers as well.
"Enabling diverse suppliers to grow their business alongside ours is an important part of demonstrating that commitment," Mitjans shared.
