Accenture announced its plan to release an annual report on the demographics of its workforce including gender, ethnicity, people with disabilities and veterans. This transparency will allow all of its consumers to see where Accenture stands in its commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Integral to inclusion at Accenture are its various employee resource groups (ERGs), which the company describes as “vibrant communities that enable our people to strengthen their networks, grow their skills, celebrate their heritages and give back to the communities where they live and work.”

These groups are available to all Accenture employees. The company has a total of 10 different ERGs in the United States and more than 250 chapters. Group Chief Executive Julie Sweetmeets with ERGs monthly. The company also has a strong mentoring program, which all employees participate in.

According to the company, Accenture strives to “create an environment where our people can feel comfortable, be themselves and contribute.”
