Abbott is continuing its partnership with Real Madrid Club de Fútbol and its social arm, the Real Madrid Foundation, to “reduce malnutrition, promote education and sharing the values of sport in every region of the world over the next decade.” Abbott has pledged a three-year agreement to become the Health Science and Nutrition Partner of the organization.

In a release, Daniel Salvadori, Executive Vice President of Abbott’s Nutrition Business, said: “Football is a universal sport that’s played, watched and loved around the world. Abbott and The Real Madrid Foundation have the same goal: to nourish children around the world so they can have better health and can achieve their potential. The combination of our collective efforts will enable us to reach more people and have an even greater long-lasting impact in the lives of tens of thousands of children around the world.”

The work done between the partners is engrained in Real Madrid Foundation’s Social Sports Schools, “which are supporting at-risk children in their nutritional, educational and health needs,” Abbott said.

This year’s message from the medical devices and healthcare company centers on helping kids “reach their goals—on and off the field—around the world,” according to Abbott.
